I tried to make a quilt once, the remnants of my efforts are still stuffed in the back of my closet under a pile of clothes I keep for, “just in case” reasons. This is the coolest “quilting” idea ever – I could use up some of the old fabrics I have laying about, or upcycle that baby quilt i tried to make into a piece of art perfect for the nursery.
Sweet and Smart – These would look great anywhere!
I’m so over the wine cork trivet and its tired cousin the wine cork bulletin board –
But this? This is really cool!
i was feeling pretty good about myself when i completed my first knitted face cloth, it was even somewhat square. Then I saw the one Jeney made; it was pretty and perfect and mine suddenly looked like a pot holder – no one wants to wash their face with a pot holder
This is an amazing idea – A vertical garden using rain gutters!
Perfect for a small space, a classroom or a wonderful herb garden!
You can find these funky shelving units for free all day long on Craigslist – This Before and After was taken from a Better Homes and Garden article, I found it at Happy Day Vintage. How cute would this be in an entry way or a nursery!
Since I live in wine country proper, I thought it would be nice to include some wine inspired upcycled projects. I found these at Upcycle The Art of The R’s. Cheers!
Most things in my world are line dried and when necessary, 10-minutes-in-the-dryer kind of things.
But, for whatever reason I love to iron cloth napkins -love it.
So for me this is perfect! Found it on a quilters blog, texasfreckles, so you know she knows a little something about ironing!
I tried whipping up a batch of rose water using an enamel pot as a homemade still, boiling water, a brick and of course; a bowl of rose petals. EPIC FAIL. It stunk up my house; something akin to asparagus.
